Welcome to the Peninsula Musical Arts Association

We are the Peninsula Musical Arts Association, formed to support community-based musical groups on the mid-peninsula. Based in Foster City, California, the non profit corporation is entirely run by volunteers who are participants in its two performing groups. In cooperation with the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department, we strive to bring to the community an appreciation of a broad range of musical literature.

Come Sing with Us!

The Foster City Community Chorus invites all singers, regardless of experience, to come and sing with us. Rehearsals for the Spring 2012 season begin on Tuesday, January 10. Singers will prepare for their spring concert and their summer trip to Rome to sing Evening Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican. Registration closes January 24. You can attend the first three rehearsals without obligation, which gives you a chance to check us out, meet our fabulous director, Paul Hurst, and mingle with our singers.

No audition is required. You don't even need to read music, though it helps, and you must be able to match a pitch. Some of our singers have extensive musical backgrounds; others have never sung anywhere but in the shower before joining our group. We offer music education, friendly people, and a chance to spend one evening a week doing something for yourself.

Save the Date!

Our spring concert will be held on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 at Transfiguration Episcopal Church in San Mateo (see map). Please mark your calendars for 3:00 on one or both afternoons to hear some of the music our groups will be performing in June in Rome.

General admission tickets (for adults and children over age 5) are $20. You can purchase tickets from your favorite singer, online on our website, by sending an email request to boxoffice@PeninsulaMusicalArts.org, or by calling 650-513-5522. Tickets are available at the door, subject to availability
